About Us

The Georgetown Federalist is a non-partisan newsmagazine committed to the free exchange of ideas and the principles of limited government, free markets, individual liberty, and civic virtue. We provide a timely forum for students on campus to share their ideas, and we facilitate meaningful dialogue about issues concerning the Georgetown University community. We think that it is important for students to think critically and that this cannot be achieved in an atmosphere devoid of difference in political, social, and economic opinion. To that end, The Federalist serves as a forum for students to explore and challenge one another's ideas about the most pressing issues of the day.
